Animals In Distress (A.I.D.)

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE 1-2 WEEKS IN SPAIN HELPING THE DOGS THAT ARE UNDER OUR CARE?

LOCATION: The shelter is located amongst orange groves in a beautiful part of Pizarra, Malaga, Spain.

AGE: Volunteers must be 18 years old or over to stay at the shelter.

VOLUNTEERING DATES: From 1st March - 30th November

ARRIVAL: You can either hire a car or we can pick you up from Malaga airport and at the end of your stay we will take you back to the airport.

FLIGHT - Please try to book a flight that lands at Malaga airport between:
10.00hrs to 20.00hrs and departs between 12.00hrs to 22.00hrs

DOG DUTIES: Cleaning, feeding, playing and socializing our rescued dogs and taking them for walks down the lanes.

WORKING HOURS - We expect a minimum of 3hrs help in the morning and 3hrs in the afternoon, For volunteers staying 7 days or more you also have 1 day off per week.

CLOTHING:
Please bring sturdy walking shoes and during the cooler or wetter months make sure you have warm clothes. During the summer months it is also advisable to wear long trousers whilst doing dog duties

ACCOMMODATION: We provide 2 joined cabins. You could bring a friend because there are 2 bunk beds, toilet, shower, kitchen/living room with fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker, table /chairs, WIFI etc.

SHELTER COSTS: We ask for a small donation of 50€ per week per person to help with the running bills at the shelter.

FOOD: You will need to provide your own food

LOCAL TRANSPORT: There is no local transport but one of our volunteers can take you to the local shops for food at least once per week and even drop you of at a local restaurant if you wish.

INSURANCE: Please note that you would need to sign a disclaimer form we cannot be held responsible should any type of accident happen to you whilst you are at the shelter including playing with the dogs, feeding them or when you take them out for walks etc. so we advise you take out an insurance just in case
