5.6 kilo, Female, Unchipped, estimated
age around 1 year.
Now in foster in Alhaurin el Grande,
Malaga, Spain. Looking for Adoption.
Now after waiting unsuccessfully for
owner to come forward, we can begin
the process of preparing her for

. .

We really need to find a foster home who have time to give her through her treatment and recovery, local to our vets in the Cartama, Grande, Coin, Monda areas please
It's totally obvious this old lady is in pain from her back and legs... she is on pain meds to ease her over the weekend... Monday at 11am she has an appointment with our specialist vet to sedate her and do the xrays to assess the damage and possible treatment. She will also have full blood tests as we are convinced she will have leish.
Due to her pain and mobility problems she is having to stay in a pen on her own, we can't risk boisterous pups knocking her around where she currently is in foster.
Adoption offers are on the table so it wont be forever foster.
Careta is 10 years old, carrying old injuries, but the good news is she is not bothered by other dogs or Cats.
If you think you have a quiet place Careta can stay and are able to do the odd vets visit and give her attention and much needed tlc

11 year old female Fox terrier.
Neutered. Passported, chipped, fully vaccinated.
she is amazing with kids, she walks off a lead but doesn’t want long walks these days she’s happy to potter in the garden. Has lived with a male dog but not too great with female dogs. She craves attention. she’d be best without another dog, or a polite male dog.
Currently in Malaga Spain.

mama mia

A year we have been working with Linda after saving her from a life as a breeding dog tied on a chain iin a shed devoid of human contact.
Linda is 5 years old, neutered, blood tested, vaccinated and passported.
Linda was poorly when we took her in, but now is doing well health wise, only haveing a tablet a day for her low level leish that we have now under control. We wouold continue to provide her meds even after adoption.
Linda needs someone who will work with her, to continue building her confidence. She is in no way agressive, the total opposite,
She has progressed from totally shut down to still wary of people, but loves the company of other dogs, loves her food especially her pasta treat. She will happily run free on the finca all day and often bring presents of anything she can catch like small vermin, to let you know she loves You in her own special way.
If you could offer Linda a safe secure patient home, she really does need to make the next step in her rehabilitation

Neutered, passported, chipped, fully vaccinated and blood tested.
In Foster with admin Tracy.
Mia is very shy and quiet but after she has come to trust you, she is the sweetest girl ever. Totally clean, doesn't bark, no trouble at all. She's just over 2 years old and never had a home of her own. Must be someone out there for her x

MOLLY - 2 year old Female Water dog.
Unless someone extremely special steps up we don't think Molly will ever leave us.
Molly was found under a car at 5 months old after surviving Distemper. Leaving Molly with Neurological ticks.
She spent 3 weeks in the vets, having blood tests and observations. Molly had somehow miraculously survived this normally fatal virus, all alone without medical intervention. We have never known this before in all our years in rescue. She is such a fighter.
We believe if Molly fought to stay alive we owed her every chance at life.
She also battled Rickettsia (a tick fever) plus coccidia and Giardia (microscopic internal parasites).
The twitching and uncontrolled movements she experiences are far better than they were, and Molly in her own World is now a normal dog, we see past her twitches and just see a happy funny life loving girl, who just gets on with everything and loves to play, a real cheeky girl, who we love dearly.
Molly is Passported, chipped, fully vaccinated and now negative to all blood tests

RESCUE EXPLAINED: Author unknown:
The neglect changes you.
The abuse hardens you.
The suffering breaks you.
The ignorance angers you.
The indifference disturbs you.
The injustice destroys you.
On a daily basis…your faith will be tested.
Your heart will be wounded....
Your soul will be altered.
On a weekly basis…you’ll question yourself.
You’ll question your strength.
You’ll question the world.
On a monthly basis…you’ll fall down.
You’ll get up.
You’ll go on…
On a yearly basis…you’ll look back…
You’ll see faces…
You couldn’t save them.
You’ll learn to mourn.
To grieve.
To sob.
You’ll learn to trust a little less.
To do a little more.
To fight a little harder.
You’ll learn to try.
To hope.
To pray.
You’ll learn to fail.
To succeed.
To accept.
You’ll learn when to hold on.
When to give up.
When to let go.
You’ll learn who you are.
What you stand for.
Why that matters.
Then… at times… you’ll forget why you matter.
You’ll question what you’re doing.
You’ll wonder if it’s worth it.
But…here’s the good news…
When you forget…
When you question…
When you wonder…
All you have to do…
Is take a look around…
And you’ll see them.
You’ll see their faces.
You’ll see their smiles.
You’ll feel their love.
In their eyes, you’ll see their journeys…
You’ll remember their beginnings…You’ll know how far they’ve come…
You’ll remember when they didn’t know you…
When they didn’t trust you…When they’d given up.
You’ll remember how you healed them…
How you loved them…How they loved you, too.
And as you look back…
You’ll want to move forward…
For them… and because of them.
In your darkest hours, you’ll look around…To find the differences made…the hope given…and the lives saved…
Because you existed.
In those moments, when you look into their eyes…every doubt will be erased.
Every question will be answered.
Every worry will subside.
Because in that instant…in each of your hearts…
You both share the very same thought:
“Every bit of pain was worth it…for this moment here with you.”
And honestly…no matter what else happens…
Those moments hold all the strength you need…
To keep going.
Rescue is pain.
Rescue is joy.
Rescue is worth it…because they are worth it.
And that’s the honest truth.

Ahí va mi casa!

Abandonado por el río
¡Otro perro triste y solo!
No se sabe donde han ido sus dueños.
No le importaba mucho.
Es que la novedad se disipó.
Demasiados problemas, demasiada molestia

Esperaba tres largas semanas
Antes de ser encontrado muerto en un agujero.
Aprende la lección, no hagas suposiciones.
¡Piénsatelo bien! ¡Piénsatelo bien!

Una poema por Natalie Galea

There goes my home!

Abandoned by the river
Another sad and lonely dog!
No telling where its owners gone
He didn't care for long.
The novelty wore off you see
Too much trouble, too much bother
But what he doesn't know is
His problem's onto another.

Three weeks now this dog's been at the river
No food, warmth, shelter or care
It's too easy though to throw him from the car
And leave him there.

Every step for this dog is agony
As his leg is fractured and twisted
But does his master agonise
With how he's acted?
No he's resisted!

Hopefully someone kind you may say
Will pick this poor dog up
And take it to the rescue place
Where they'll fix him up!
Think twice, do think twice
As they are busy as can be
And cannot save every soul
Abandoned out there you see!

Think twice before getting any dog!
It’s rewarding but a lifelong job.
Though, he would not dump you off and sneer
Or leave you out there in fear
He'd be your faithful friend,
For life until his end!

Conscience is the key you see
Everyone’s conscience these days is numbed.
Well there's no excuse for this act
It should be prison, that’s a fact!

Out there in the cold and darkness
He's alone, in pain and lost!
Who will help him, who will save him
Now he's just a number
Dead in the frost!

Think twice and recall
That poor abandoned soul.
A long three weeks he waited
Before being found dead in a hole.
Learn a lesson, don't reckon.
Think twice!  Think Twice!

A poem by Natalie Galea. Bor

One by one they pass my cage,
Too old, too worn, too broken, no way.
Way past his prime he can't run and play,
Then they shake their heads slowly and go on their way.

A little old man, arthritic and sore,
It seems I am not wanted anymore.
I once had a home, I once had a bed,
A place that was warm, and where I was fed.

Now my muzzle is grey, and my eyes slowly fail,
Who wants a dog so old and so frail?
My family decided I didn't belong,
I got in their way, my attitude was wrong.

Whatever excuse they made in their head
Can't justify how they left me for dead.
Now I sit in this cage, where day after day,
The younger dogs get adopted away.

When I had almost come to the end of my rope,
You saw my face and I finally had hope.
You saw through the grey, and the legs bent with age,
And felt I still had life beyond the cage.

You took me home, gave me food and a bed,
And shared your own pillow with my poor tired head.
We snuggle and play, and you talk to me low,
You love me so dearly and want me to know.

I may have lived most of my life with another,
But you outshine them with a love so much stronger.
I promise to return all the love I can give,
To You, my dear person, as long as I live.

I may be with you for a week or for years,
We will share many smiles, you will no doubt shed tears.
And when the time comes that God deems I must leave,
I know you will cry and your heart will grieve.

And when I arrive at the Bridge, all brand new,
My thoughts and my heart will still be with you.
And I will brag to all who will hear,
Of the person who made my last days so dear.
